DEVELOPMENTAL EDITS: 0.013/word
Developmental edits focus on the story itself, rather than the writing. I’ll dig into your story and help you sort out any plot issues you may be having, strengthen your characters, and solidify your structure. I ascribe to the Lyssa Kay Adams school of romance, so I believe “backstory is everything,” and I love weaving those threads through the entire book.
If you need help sorting out character motivations/conflicts, you feel like the chemistry isn’t chemistry-ing, or they’re simply boning too much and you need to up the plot, I can help!
Each edit takes about 2-3 weeks, and I will send you an edit letter, as well as notes throughout the manuscript. We can schedule an optional phone/video call once you’ve gone through my notes!
I’ll do a free sample edit of up to 1,000 words so you can get a feel for my editing style. A $50 deposit is required upon booking an edit with me to hold your spot on my schedule.
MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE: $200
If you’re looking for something between a beta read and a developmental edit, this might be for you. I’ll read your manuscript, then send you a short letter going over some things you did well and some things that need work. Then, I’ll offer suggestions for fixing them.
FORMATTING: $50
Is your book all polished and ready to go, but you need help making it pretty for publication? I can help with that. I’ll use Vellum to format your book into epub and pdf files, and can even add cute little chapter breaks and such!
GRAPHICS: $25
Anytime I don’t want to write, I design cute little graphics to turn into stickers and such for events. Now, my procrastination is your gain. Have a tagline you’d like made into a sticker? Or maybe you need a logo for the fictional business in your book. I can do that! Find samples of my work below:
